The American Geophysical Union announced the selection of Dr. Thomas E Moore of the Heliophysics Science Division (670) as a new Fellow to be inducted in 2009. Fellows are selected on the basis of their career scientific accomplishments, but their number is limited of only 0.1% (1 per 1000) of the AGU membership per year. Tom joins four other HSD scientists, Melvyn Goldstein (673), David Sibeck (674), Leonard Burlaga (673) and Don Fairfield (674, Emeritus), in having been selected for this prestigious award.
